Preventive/Routine Care
Keystone First – CHIP encourages you to get your child the right preventive/routine they need. It is important that your child gets this care to help avoid getting sick.
Please review the Keystone First – CHIP Benefits at a Glance (PDF) for benefit and copayment information.
Please go to the following areas to learn more:
- Dental
Your child’s dentist will give them regular checkups and take care of your child’s dental care. Enrollees can get a routine dental exam and cleaning once every 6 months. - Eye
Enrollees are eligible for a routine eye exam. Call your child’s eye doctor to schedule an eye exam. - Your child’s primary care provider (PCP)
When your child joins Keystone First – CHIP, you choose a PCP for your child. Your child’s PCP oversees your child’s health care. He or she is responsible for taking care of your child’s health and, when necessary, arranging care for your child from other health care providers. - Bright Futures
Bright Futures services are available for children under the age of 19. They are sometimes referred to as well-baby or well-child checkups.
